Audio books became invented when a man named J.P. Harrington made it his mission to record the history of many Native American tribes. Most Native American tribes did not record their history in any written language, so J.P. realized that he would need to record the stories of their history orally in order for them to make sense. He did so using a car battery powered turn-table back in 1933. Since then, people have discovered that audio books are a great way, in our busy society, to be able to enjoy a book without having to carve out hours of time to read it. After you have narrowed your choices down, start looking at prices. Think about downloading an audio book as you would downloading music. You want to find the best price for the best product. Paying a very small fee means nothing if you get a recording that you can not understand. Then, simply register with the site you have chosen and start downloading! Once you receive your file, you can listen to it through your computer’s speakers, your MP3 player, or even burn it onto a CD.
